As we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse (丙午), we enter a Fire over Fire pillar within the traditional 60-year cycle.

In the Gan-Zhi system, 2026 combines Yang Fire (丙) with the Horse (午), a branch associated with Fire. In Five Element theory, Fire governs the Heart and the Shen, and reflects warmth, visibility and outward movement.

When Yang energy becomes more pronounced, classical teaching reminds us that balance is essential. As the Huangdi Neijing states, Yin is the root and Yang is the manifestation. When activity increases, nourishment and steadiness must support it.
